Our simulator of choice is iRacing, and the reasons are simple - iRacing achieves the most authentic motorsport experience as a whole.  iRacing features one of the top physics engines available, laser-scanned real-world tracks, detailed 3D models, responsive force feedback, and the most robust licensing/safety rating system of any racing sim to date.  We find that it translates very easily to the real-world track, above all other simulators on the market.

Sim racing has been around for years and was originally considered a "novelty" that existed fully in the realm of gaming.

As simulator technology progressed, and even more recently due to the international COVID-19 pandemic (which saw professional motorsport outfits such as F1, NASCAR, INDYCAR, IMSA, and WEC switch completely to virtual racing on simulators), sim racing has seen an explosion in popularity on the international scale.

Now in 2022, we've seen many success stories of racers graduating from simulators to a real-life racing career.  Even Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen competes in the official annual (virtual) 24 Hours of Le Mans on iRacing.

Regardless of how you feel about simulators, we at RR have learned one thing above all else - with the right group of racers, the cars may be simulated, but the racing is very, very real.
